Mission: The Missouri Board for Respiratory Care protects the public from incompetence, misconduct, gross negligence, fraud, misrepresentation and dishonesty; licenses only "qualified" professionals by examination and evaluation of minimum competency; enforces standards by implementing legislation ad administrative rules; and encourages economic development and partnerships with existing small businesses.

Function: The board regulates professional conduct, continuing education requirements for renewal of licenses, continuing education programs, and ethical standards of practice for the persons holding a permit or license to practice respiratory care in Missouri.
