Mission:

Function: The Missouri Alternative Fuels Commission promotes the development, sale, distribution, and consumption of alternative fuels and the development and use of alternative fuel vehicles and technology that will enhance the use of alternative and renewable transportation fuels and educates consumers about alternative fuel, including but not limited to ethanol and biodiesel.

Member Requirements: 2 members must be members of the House of Representatives; 2 must be members of the Senate; 5 Governor's appointees may be, but are not limited to persons engaged in industries that produce alternative fuels, wholesale alternative fuels, or retail alternative fuels, and no more than two of such members shall represent an alternative fuel producer, retailer, or wholesaler
