Mission: Board of Election Commissioners for the City of St. Louis serves the Citizens by administering the conduct of all public elections within the City of St. Louis in a fair, open and honest manner pursuant to federal, state and municipal law. Also, the Board's mission is to make registration easily available to all legally entitled to vote and to preserve honesty in the process by maintaining a clean, accurate and up-to-date voter registration list.

Function: Board of Election Commissioners for the City of St. Louis conducts municipal, state and federal elections within the jurisdictional limits of the City of St. Louis.

Members may not hold any statutory position within a political party or on a political committee, and members may not be candidates for political office or hold any other public office.
