Member Requirements: The members appointed by the Governor are to represent the general public and are prohibited from being owners or representatives of small businesses regulated under the Air Conservation Law. The members appointed by the General Assembly are to be owners or representatives of small businesses regulated under the Air Conservation Law. The member selected by the Department of Natural Resources Director is to represent the agency. No member of the Air Conservation Commission can serve as a member of the Small Business Compliance Advisory Committee. These membership requirements reflect the mandates of both the Federal Clean Air Act (Section 507 (e)) and the Missouri Air Conservation Law (Section 643.173.2). The term "small business" is defined in Section 507 (c) of the Federal Clean Air Act.
