Members receive reimbursement for realized and necessary expenses.
Member Requirements:
The Governor or his designee serves on the Board; 2 Legislators from each chamber selected by the leadership of the respective chamber; and the Directors (or their designee) of DED, DESE, DHE, DSS, DOLIR, DHSS, DOC. Representatives appointed by the Governor include: At least 51% of the member must be representatives of business in Missouri who are business owners, CEOs, or other business executives or employers with optimum policy-making or hiring authority; represent business with employment opportunities that reflect the employment opportunities of the Missouri; and are appointed from among individuals nominated by State business organizations and business trade associations. Additional members shall be representatives of organized labor, who have been nominated by State labor federations; representatives of organizations that have experience and expertise in the delivery of workforce investment activities, including CEO's of community colleges and community-based organizations within the state; local chief elected officials (mayor, county commissioner, county executive, etc); and representatives of individuals or organizations with expertise in serving youth.
